At the Integris Total Body Surgical Vein Center we are serious about treating venous disease.  We take pride in being able to treat the obvious problems and treating problems others have given up on.  Chronic Venous Insufficiency is a very common problem that effects up to 50% of the population.  Those affected are many times embarrassed when wearing shorts or dresses.  It occurs when the venous system does not work properly and those affected develop symptoms that can consist of leg swelling, leg pain, restless leg syndrome, varicose veins, spider veins, skin color changes, and even ulceration.  The disease is chronic and progressive over time.  The cause of the problem is usually inherited but can also stem from a traumatic episode or deep vein thrombosis. It can effect the young, middle aged, or older patients.

Treatment for this problem in the past was usually limited to compression stockings or vein stripping.  Stockings help the symptoms somewhat but do not cure the problem and stripping required surgery, anesthesia, and an often prolonged recovery time.

Treatment now has been forever altered by technology.  Ultrasound and laser technology have made modern treatment of venous insufficiency much safer and more tolerable for most patients.  Patients now walk in for treatment, enjoy mild sedation for the procedure, and walk out to go shopping or resume nearly normal daily activities.  There is minimal pain and usually only minor bruising if any.  EVLA (endovenous laser ablation) is what we offer at the Integris Total Body Surgical Vein Center using the Cooltouch laser and Siemens ultrasound.  We also perform the latest European Microphlebectomy techniques to remove the large and unsightly varicose veins through incisions as small as the head of a pencil.  We can usually get you back in shorts, a dress or skirt, without embarrassing bulges or discoloration, and have your legs looking normal again.  Diagnostic ultrasound is done in the office and is totally pain free.

The treatments for those who qualify are covered by insurance in most cases.

Cosmetic treatments for spider veins are also performed using the latest "foaming" techniques.  This can also be done in the office with minimal discomfort and down time.

Facial veins, "cherry hemangiomas" or red raised spots, telangiectasias or clusters of red veins, port wine stains or red splotches, are also treated at Integris Total Body Surgical with the latest Cutera laser technology.  Redness can also be treated with IPL treatments or laser resurfacing.

We at Integris Total Body Surgical are very pleased to bring MODERN Vein Therapy to Northwestern Arkansas.
